Very important!! Since version 1.07 existing user data (registered fingerprints) need to be owned by root.root. These files are located in "/var/lib/fingerprint-gui/" and have NOT the correct ownership and modes when they are created with a previous version. If you want to continue using these files you need to execute the command "sudo make user-data" after installating the new version. Alternatively you can completely remove this directory and aquire new fingerprint data with the new version.
KDE enviroments: The "Fingerprint PAM" does not work for login and unlocking kscreensaver due to a bug in kdm and kscreensaver on some systems. Please have a look at the bugreports 182623 and 105631 and vote for it!
